Shipping Methods
An estimated delivery date is provided during the checkout process. This is calculated based off the factors of your order (time order placed, shipping method, location of shipping address). Weekends and holidays are also taken into account when the estimated delivery date is provided.
Standard Delivery
Standard is our economic shipping option. $8.99 on orders less than 1 pound, and $9.99 on orders greater than 1 pound (free for orders above $200). Expect 5-7 Business days for delivery. Standard service ships with USPS final delivery and must be shipped to a valid Postal Address.
Delivery methods may include USPS, SmartPost, or SurePost. This option is unavailable for FFL items, Limited Quantity (LQ), aerosol and hazardous products that have carrier restrictions.
Ground Delivery
We’ll ship anywhere in the lower 48 states for only $15.99 (up to 200 lbs). Expect 3-5 Business days for delivery. Delivery methods may include FedEx, SpeeDee or USPS. Ground Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the US Territories is through USPS Priority. Orders shipping via USPS Priority and over 5lbs will require an additional $10 charge. There are a small number of products that don’t qualify for our Ground Delivery Program.
2 Business Days Delivery
Have your entire order shipped in 2 Business Days for $23.99 (up to 200 lbs), including orders to Hawaii and Alaska. This option is unavailable for LQ, aerosol, and hazardous products. Some products do not qualify for the flat-rate 2 Business Days Plan.
2 Business Days orders must be placed by 1 pm CST Monday – Friday, to ensure prompt delivery.
1 Business Day Delivery
Have your entire order shipped in1 Business Day for $35.99 (up to 200 lbs), including orders to Hawaii and Alaska. This option is unavailable for LQ, aerosol, and hazardous products. Some products do not qualify for the flat-rate 1 Business Day Plan.
1 Business Day orders must be placed by 1 pm CST Monday – Friday, to ensure prompt delivery.
Truck Shipments
Orders weighing more than 200lbs require truck shipment. Certain bluing kits and other heavy items are only deliverable by Truck, either because they’re too heavy or because they are considered hazardous. Please call if you have any questions about your shipment.
Since truck charges vary from order to order, please contact us at (765) 551 7377 to receive a shipping charge quote.
If the carrier is unable to deliver the package to the requested address, the package may be sent back to [Smokeless Gun Powder]. Once [Smokeless Gun Powder] receives the package, a return will be processed. Original shipping charges and applicable fees with not be refunded. If the order is still needed, a new order must be submitted, and shipping charges or any applicable fees will be applied.
Shipping Restrictions
One-Rate Shipping
A small handful of our products have been considered hazardous materials by the U.S. Government. This makes the delivery of such items challenging and little confusing at times; some shippers will ship one thing, while another won’t, etc.
To help you understand, we have addressed some of the more common shipping restriction issues.
- USPS will not deliver Bluing Salts or Oxynate #84™ – they must be sent Ground.
- USPS restricts shipment of all Limited Quantity (LQ) and all hazardous materials. Examples include: Amer-Lene, Bluing Salts, Cold Blues (32 oz. or larger), Hydrochloric Acid, Paint Remover, Parkerizing (gallons), and a few more.
- Limited Quantity and hazardous materials will only travel FedEx and require an additional hazardous fee.
- Hazardous ships Ground with an additional Hazardous fee of $25.00 and requires a signature on delivery.
Note: Hazardous materials and Limited Quantity products can only be sent ground (they can never go 2 Business Days or 1 Business Day Plans, because these services involve air-delivery).
However, let’s say you were ordering Bluing Salts and a scope. Our shippers will automatically split your order into two: One consisting of the restricted shipping item and another consisting of the regular item.
Unfortunately this generates two sets of shipping charges. If the regular item is urgent, you may have it delivered 2 Business Days or 1 Business Day, while the Bluing Salts will remain ground. We realize this is confusing and expensive. Below are illustrated scenarios.
